Precision Machining in-situ - One of our Company's Core Activities
Metalock Engineering has been involved in machining repairs for mechanical equipment for over 50 years. We assist operators and OEMs with repair and modification projects using our onsite machining and other skills.
Machining for the Metal Production Industry
Machining carried out on plant equipment on a regular basis can help reduce the chance of a breakdown, which could cost you enormously in terms of production loss. This sort of work is our forte and we would like to share our expertise with you.
Regular machining repairs and overhaul are a necessary precaution as machines and equipment are in continuous use 7 days a week. It is, therefore, exposed to enormous forces, pressures and temperatures. When planned shutdowns occur our services are subjected to demanding standards in respect of quality and delivery.
Some of the areas in which we help the metal production industry are listed below:-
- Orbital machining and grinding of shafts journals
- Mill housing machining - windows and bases of oversize wearplates
- Refurbishing of main and auxiliary B.O.S. plant ladle trunnion
